Spinning wheel

Woohoo! I have my spinning wheel! I bought a Kromski prelude. I bought it for the price and that it looks like the old spinning wheels. It is made in Poland and shipped here to the dealers. I bought it and two days later I had my spinning wheel. I was very impressed that I received it that quickly. With my wheel I received a niddy noddy and some marino wool. Awesome! I know some of you are wondering what is a niddy noddy. This is a tool that a spinner will use to help set the twist in their yarn. It is also a tool to see how much yarn they have. The one I have is two yards long. So if you put fifty turns of yarn on the niddy noddy you will have one hundred yards. Did I say awesome before?!  As much I love my spinning wheel it was a pain to put together. Just because the instructions left a lot to be desired. Being a little stubborn and not wanting to let a machine get the best of me I finally got it. Thank The Lord for you tube and the Internet for the help! Getting down to learning to spin now! Woohoo! Ohhh this is harder than it looks. Eek! My yarn looked better on my drop spindle when I first started on it than this wheel.  So funny! Too many twists to not enough twists. Then some wool is easier to spin than others. My head is spinning while I learn to spin my own yarn! So much fun and I am totally excited! I am posting a picture with this blog. I am sorry for the quality of the picture since I just used my iphone. I hope you can see how bad my yarn looks. Let's see how much it improves in the next few weeks.  If there are spinners out there I am open to pointers. Happy spinning!
